Zebe is built on the belief that your health data belongs to you. This notice explains the little we collect through this website, and what we do with it.
The short version
This website collects very little: your email address if you join the waitlist, your details if you contact us, and the basic technical information any website needs to work. We do not sell your data, and we never use health data for advertising. To understand our audience and reach the right people, we use website analytics and may use advertising tools, asking your consent first for anything beyond what is essential to run the site. This website does not collect any health data — when the Zebe app launches, it will have its own privacy policy covering health data, and we will ask for your explicit consent before processing any of it.
Zebe Health Ltd (“Zebe”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17188135, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, as a fee-paying data controller (registration reference ICO:00014419359).
If you have any question about your data, contact us at info@zebe.health.
This notice covers the zebe.health website only — browsing it, joining the waitlist, and contacting us. It does not cover the Zebe app, which is not yet released. When the app launches, a full Privacy Policy will govern the health data it processes, and you will see it before you create an account.
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it). We use it to tell you about Zebe’s launch and progress. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or writing to info@zebe.health.
Contact. If you contact us we collect your name, email address, and whatever you put in your message. We use it to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who write to us.
Technical data. Like every website, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical information — IP address, browser type, pages requested — in server logs used for security and to keep the site working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, functioning website.
The hard lines: this website collects no health data, and we never sell your personal data. For ordinary marketing — understanding our audience and reaching the right people — we use analytics and may use advertising tools, asking your consent first for anything beyond the essentials.
This website uses essential cookies that it needs to function, and — only with your consent — analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change your choice at any time. We do not currently use advertising cookies; if that changes, they too will require your consent.
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our email — our website host and our email provider (Microsoft 365). They process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal data. We may use analytics and advertising providers to understand and reach our audience, with your consent where the law requires it; we never share health data with them. We would disclose personal data to a regulator, court, or law-enforcement authority only where the law requires it.
We aim to keep personal data in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where a service provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or Addendum) to protect it to UK standards.
Waitlist details: until you unsubscribe, or up to 12 months after the Zebe app launches, whichever is sooner. Enquiries: up to 12 months after our last exchange, so we have context if you write again. Server logs: a short rolling period, typically no more than 90 days.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis we rely on. To exercise any of these, email info@zebe.health — we will respond within one calendar month. None of these rights costs anything.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113). We would welcome the chance to put it right first.
This website and the waitlist are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact info@zebe.health and we will delete them.
If we change what this website collects or how we use it, we will update this notice and change the date at the top before the new practice starts. Material changes will be flagged clearly on this page.
